Quality Assurance
One of the most vital points when selecting a car is the quality of the vehicle. This is why Eminence Imports perform a very vigorous check of our vehicles before we are willing to supply them. A qualified engineer inspects all vehicles before an auction. The vehicle is then inspected again after purchasing the car and then again when it arrives on UK mainland.
We do not take any risks. Vehicles are formally reviewed and graded by Japanese Government appointed Inspectors prior to submission for auction. The very highest quality vehicles are given Grades 5 and 4, these - and only these - are bought and imported by Eminence Imports.
The sub-standard vehicles, graded down from 3.5 to 1 and "A" for "Accident Damaged" have been the targeted by disreputable dealers and gained the displeasure/notoriety of the "Top Gear" television crew. Eminence Imports give an unequivocal pledge that they have not - nor will ever - purchase these grades of vehicles. We do not deal with cars that are in a noticeable bad condition, look to possess serious mechanical problems or if the vehicle has had an accident.
Before shipment, we will once again re-check all safety aspects of the car such as the engine oils and the battery. We do this so that our customers can have every confidence in doing business with us.
BIMTA
"Don't get caught with a stolen import! Check what you're buying!"
The British Independant Motor Trade Association (BIMTA) is the only trade association set up solely to safeguard the interests of the independant vehicle import industry.
Eminence Imports vehicles which are imported from Japan are supplied with a BIMTA Certificate of Authenticity which gives a money back guarantee that the vehicle has not been registered as stolen prior to export from Japan. It also guarantees that the vehicle has no outstanding finance (HP) and that the mileage reading prior to export was accurate.
Each vehicle is given its own numbered Certificate together with a window decal showing it has been checked by BIMTA.If it is subsequently proven that the vehicle was stolen before leaving Japan, or that there was outstanding finance, or that the mileage reading in Japan was incorrect, then BIMTA will refund the market value of the vehicle.
